Tummy Time

Aidan playing on his tummy.

Mr. Blue Eyes

Aidan is 12 weeks old today and his eyes are still a beautiful shade of blue. These pictures make his hair look red, but it is more of a light brown color. His favorite pass-times include smiling and sticking his fingers in his mouth.

What's up Doc?

Aidan had his two month check-up this week. We learned that he is in the 95 percentile for length and height for his age. He now weighs 14 lbs 8 1/2 oz. and is 25 inches long. It won't be long before he is as tall as his Dad.

His eyes are still blue and he enjoys standing while being supported. We have noticed that he watches Ariel (the puppy) more and he loves to look out the window. Aidan is also holding toys longer and putting them in his mouth. Oh the joys of watching him grow.....

Lazy Days

We all enjoyed having our friends visit this past weekend. Today we are just playing and being lazy....

Aidan is "cooing" up a storm. When he speaks he uses a soft voice and he is playing with combining different sounds, most of which are inaudible. He has been saying "ao", which means blue in Japanese. "Ah-goo" is quickly coming in as the 2nd most popular sound heard from Aidan. I have also heard some "u" and "wo" but no "e" sounds yet.

Japanese trivia: Japanese refer to the green light on traffic lights as "ao". Some dictionaries state that "ao" means blue or green but "midori" is used for green in all other situations.

Walking Shorts

Papa seemed to really like Aidan's "walking shorts", so this picture is for him. This outfit is a gift from Stafford and his family.

Palmer Comes to Play

What could be more exciting than having a new friend come over to play? Palmer was born just about a month or two before Aidan. His parents are Big Howie and Ashley. They brought Palmer and his big sister Daily all the way from Mississippi to come see us. (and Howie's parents) Too bad they don't live a little closer so the boys could play more often.

7 Weeks and Counting

Here are some pictures taken when Aidan was around 7 weeks old or younger. The final photo is Aidan helping his dad in the garden. Saturday Aidan is 9 weeks old.

Cuteness Abounds

No shortage of cuteness around here. These two almost act like they're trying to out-cute each other.

Aidan hams it up for the camera, practically oozing cuteness.

Ariel tries hard to not be outdone. She has the puppy dog eyes thing down pat.

Aidan's first movie role

Just messing around with the camera and experimenting with putting videos on YouTube. That odd sound you're hearing is the dog getting a drink of water behind me.

Aidan with his mom and dad

Here's a photo of us while we were all still at the hospital. We came home on Monday and we're now all settled in.

Aidan had a little spot of pneumonia after he was born, so we all stayed at the hospital in Ottumwa for ten days. He quickly got better, and now he's happy and healthy here at home.

I would like to personally thank all of the staff at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center for all of their kind and caring service. We really appreciated the care we received from Dr. Bourgeous and Dr. Miller, and we'd especially like to thank the nurses for their professionalism and kindness.

I'll be posting some more pictures soon of Aidan and his family.

Aidan William Judge

Aidan William Judge was born on Saturday, May 5, at 5:27 a.m. at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa. His parents are Dien and Steva Judge of rural Albia, Iowa.

His grandparents are John and Patty Judge of Albia, Nancy Plagman of Des Moines, and Steve Havick and Jill Smith of Urbandale.

His great-grandparents are Lester and Lois Poole of Albia, Bob and Donna Plagman of Council Bluffs, Jim and Betty Aken of Omaha, and Wilma Havick of Harlan.

When Aidan was born, he weighed 9 pounds, 10.5 ounces, and he was 22 inches long.

He is incredibly cute and cuddly.
